No need to wait (07-01-21)

A Reading

So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. (Hebrews 4: 16)

A Thought

I have mentioned previously a few burdens that have been afflicting our lives here in Mawsley. Making progress in the current environment is subject to so many factors.

Roof leaks require scaffolding to be erected, a date amongst other client commitments, the right weather conditions on the day, and (more recently) absence to make arrangement for child-care.

Bathroom leaks require a date amongst other client commitments, liaison with insurance companies, and delays to acquire renewables for tools.

New carpets and garage doors are all subject to unanticipated delivery delays due to Brexit, Covid and Christmas.

In spite of the fact that God is our King, access to God is so much easier. God is not too busy to listen to us. He is ready and able to give us his full attention. He is always on site, always listening, and has all the tools for the required solution.

So whilst we approach God with reverence, we can always approach with bold assurance because he is our Friend and Counsellor. Nothing too small or irrelevant to bring before him. Prayer will lift the burden from our shoulders.

How refreshing.

A Prayer

Dear God,

We thank you that we can talk to you at any time

about anything and everything,

That you always listen,

And that you always have the right solution for us.

Amen
